15" vs 16" steel wheels
#1
Would there be anything gained from changing from my original 15" 205x65 wheel/tyre setup to a 16" 215x55 setup? Any disadvantages? I'm going to be needing new summer tyres when I change over to winter tyres in late fall and was just thinking about this. Thanks for your opinions.

The rolling radius will be just about the same.

You'll notice a harsher ride though, less sidewall to take up the roughness of the road, and the tyres will be more expensive Confusedalut:

Thank you for the response and the link. I'll bookmark that. A rougher ride I don't need so I guess I'll stick with what I have.

I would stick with the 15" setup, you're not going to gain anything going to the larger 16" wheels.
