also i see you have commented on another thread about a metal connector in the middle do you mean on the new stereo or in your vehicles wiring.

It is on my vehicle wiring at back of radio...

Thought I would bump this post up again.

The replacement Radio/CD has been gathering dust until today, when I decide to have another go at fitting it. Sorted out previous owners ballesed up attempt at wiring and the wires he had cut were not the ones that needed to possibly be swapped. Tried in situ and worked ok but kept losing programme when switched off and ignition key out. Red and Yellow wires do not exist on the "Lego Brick" connector !!!!. Bladed fuse has two positions on back of set so tried position no.2 and Robert is your Mother's Brother..... Cooking with gas..... Nex job, some half decent speakers...
