Another Ignition key problem..

Hiya, my van broke down today, parked up, turned the ignition off, went to turn it back on and no start.. Called AA and turns out the key transponder has stopped working ??? It is a key bought from Timpsons about 2 years ago.

  Any advice ? Or should I just go and get another key from Timpsons ?

 Is there anyone in the Reading / Basingstoke / Newbury area that can do ignition keys with transponders ??

  I don't have the code card, the van came to me with only one key fortunately it is an original key. Can I get the code without going to the stealers ??

Look up an auto locksmith in your area they can cut code and rechip keys.

Could it be the receiver aerial around the switch barrel fallen off or loose wiring? That used to happen to another vehicle I used to have.

You say you have an original key and a Timpsons key, but only have one key?
