Another seats query
#1
Hello all, I have a 2001 multispace in need of new seats (the dog has destroyed the existing ones).  I'm struggling to find ones specifically for the multispace (within a reasonable distance of where I live) so wonder if there are any other options ie, would the Berlingo van seats fit (if we changed the front ones only) or Peugot?  Any help would be appreciated (as well as any offers of seats)!!

Hi Duffy.I have a 2002 multispace and my front seats were in a state of collapse and needed a decent replacement so i managed to get hold of a pair of seats from a 2008 van The problem i encountered was that the new seats were fixed at the bottom and the old ones [ MK 1 ] has the outside fixings fixed on the side cill and the inner fixings fitted to the floor. So what i did was to use the sliders and frame from the old seats which included the seat belt pretensioners and made brackets to fit them to the bottom of the new seats.Wow what a difference in comfort, also gained in space as the new seats [ van ones ] when folded down go flat and on the rear of the passenger one it has a cupholder and a writing surface for your paperwork, not only that but the drivers seat can be raised and lowered,as im 6ft 4 i find it very useful.
I will be happy to take some pictures to show you and post them if it would be of interest to you.
