Battery Tray
#1
I need to remove the battery and battery tray on my 58XTR. Is it simply a case of disconnecting the + and - leads and then unbolting the tray then replacing eveything and all is OK or does disconnecting the battery upset the electronics in some way? Also on the top of the battery sits a plate with 4 leads coming from it. Can that simply be swung out of the way?

Normally (where possible) a good procedure is bonnet up, driver's window down, alarm keyswitched off, take key out your ignition and lock all the doors at once with your remote. If you can't do this with your window down, ignore this detail. After fifteen minutes of not opening or shutting anything (including pressing the remote button), disconnect the battery.
