Hallo,

I have ordered this car and I will got it for the end of September, does anybody have some "real" pictures of it?

I would like to know how it will look the inside with the CMP-6.

Thanks!

Ciao Fabio,

The only thing I've found on the web are the standard Citroën pictures. Did you buy it without a test drive or seeing one in person?

It seems to be known as an EGS6 on citroen.co.uk. It's the 6 speed (semi)-automatic that only is fitted to the 90 hp engine. Try the configurator.

I think this an Italian version.

From the first picture it does look like a clutch pedal is clearly missing. I'll have to have a look and see if the dealers have one locally.

There is not much information yet on the Citroen UK website. They do mention that it has a stop/start function;

"The e-HDi 90 Airdream EGS6 engine is
capable of 56.5mpg and CO2 emissions
of just 130g/km combined with the EGS
gearbox. It has a reversible starter-alternator
that works in tandem with an e-booster to
provide a seamless Stop & Start function.
Going further than other similar systems,
the e-HDi’s Stop & Start puts the engine
into idle mode while decelerating before
coming to a complete standstill. This reduces
consumption by 15% in urban driving."

Looking at this gearbox in other Citroens, it appears to have both a fully automatic mode as well as being able to shift "manually".

I still can't work out why they don't offer this with the family pack option, or on the 110 engine (which they do on the C4 Picasso)

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

That's interesting. I had just assumed that the trany wasn't up to a few more HP but apparently that is not the case. Will stay tuned for further info.

Thanks for the replies,

yes, I have ordered it before of testing. I actually have a citroen C2 with sensodrive (CMP-5) so I already know this kind of gearbox and I am quite happy of it. This new one should be even better, it is not so fast but it is very useful for me.

Anyway, one thing seems to have changed: it seems there is no way to shift gear with the usual gearbox lever.
So I am a bit worried: it seems there is a round selector that you have to rotate in order to change mode or gear.
I hope there is a easy way to go reverse because when you are parking it could be annoying to rotate the selector all the times.
Hope it could be enought to push it or do something similar.

About the configuration of the car, pictures and tech specifications around doesn't seems to be accurate.

On the XTheaTRe I have bought, it seems I will get:

- 15" iron wheels;
- no engine protection as usual on XTR
- no parking sensors
- no bluetooth or USB connector option is available
- no rear mirror to check kids
- no electric external mirrors ( I mean you cannot close then with the switch )

I am not pretty happy of these forced missing options, but this seems how it will be and so I have accepted it and I think I will have many other reasons to enjoy this nice car.

ok... thanks to a link on this forum I have found all details about the gearbox :-(
I am a bit worried now because it seems that I have to turn the round selector every time I have to stop the car or I want to go in the reverse direction.

stop and start details are listed also.
