Brake Pad Change
#1
Hello Folks,

Just a quick question that I am unclear about, when changing the front brake pads on a Mk1 Berlingo is it necessary to open the bleed nipple when pushing back the piston?

Thanks in advance.

You can do that , but I find it far easier to take the top off the brake fluid resovior and just keep an eye on the level as you push it in.

Saves you having to bleed the brakes.

Would the resovoir be at risk of overflowing?

It shouldn't unless it was too full to begin with,

Its a just in case thing that I do, especially seeing how corrosive the fluid is.

I'm just hoping you never have to change your rear brake shoes as they are an utter utter ball ache to do on a berlingo!

I think I'll put the rear shoes on the long finger for the moment so!

Thanks a million for your help.
