Just to add to this thread rather than start a new one I had an advisory about my front discs last year and as it's nearly MOT time again I thought it was time to do something about them. £54 for new pads, discs and a long T55 Torx bit and 2 hours this morning with my wife as gopher got the job done. The pads were actually still very good but the discs were well worn so someone had scrimped. The Torx bolts are not very deep heads so make sure the socket is knocked well in and it took a good pull on the long breaker bar to crack them, no chance with the ratchet. Sliders all nice and free with fresh rubber grease and clamping the flexy pipe and cracking the bleed nipple saved any bleeding after the job. Time to run it round a bit now to bed them in under gentle braking so if you see me coming don't step out in a hurry
So where does this bit go then ?
