Read this on the BBC web site this morning
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-west-wales-31064998
'She was given 10 days to explain why she had not told them about the stickers, and an additional cigarette lighter point in the boot when she took the policy out.'
The insurance company's will try any way to squirm out of paying up.

It's always been the case insurers must be told about signwritten vehicles or ones displaying advertising or large logos like this.

The Insurance Company never even discovered the Nitrous Oxide Injection Kit and Massive Turbocharger She had fitted! And to think, you can hardly see the paintwork on my Minicab due to Stickers/Logos/Advertisements for Insurance Companys!

No. They're talking about logos and sign writing .
From my direct line policy document :
Modifications include, but are not restricted to, changes to the appearance and/or the performance of your car/ your motorcycle (including wheels, suspension, bodywork and engine) and include changes made to your car/your motorcycle by the previous owner(s).
I'd imagine plastering adverts for Jesus along the sides classes as "changing the appearance".

It's worth noting that vehicles with company signwriting on, are more likely to be the targets of "Crash for cash" fraudsters than plain white vans, because the scammers think that the vehicle is more likely to have a valid insurance policy on it.
