Can i replace a green coolant sensor with a blue one?
Hi All
I need to replace the coolant sensor on my 1.4 petrol which is green but I have been sent a blue one. I checked with the company when I was ordering and they said it was compatible but I'm not sure. Does anyone know if there is a difference with the blue and green and if it will work?

Hi scotia,
If you want a sensor for the temp gauge it is the wrong one. What they have sent you is the switch that switches on the cooling fans on the radiator.

I posted a question about a mystery sensor like yours ages ago. A search for " mystery sensor " will find it.
Hey brodfather
Had a feeling that was going to be the answer, looking at it further I think there's two pins on the green connector socket and there's only one in the blue socket. Guess I'll have to order another one. Thanks for the reply and I'll have a look at the 'mystery sensor' post.
