I recently had an MOT and my Berlingo passed evrything except my Horn was working. The garage say that they will have to replace the comms unit. As a brand new comms unit is rather expensive I'd like to see if I can buy a second hand part. I have managed to find the part number 6242C2 (from Citroen) but this doesn't seem to match any of the part numbers of second hand parts on the internet. Could anybody help? I'm looking for a comms unit with automatic lights and windscreen wipers and radio controls as well.
Many thanks in advance.

Does it work with the ignition off ? The problem is usually a bad steering column earth not the comms unit.
So where does this bit go then ?

It is more than likely a poor earth under the airbag on the wheel. There are loads of threads on the forum about it.
It gets asked about once a week at least. There is a black earth that pushes into a square hole and over time it gets lose. You need to remove air bag cut connector off the wire and attach a ring connector, drill a small hole and screw the connector in place, job done. Just search the forum there are loads of guides on it. Be careful getting the airbag off. Its covered in the Haynes manual.
Are we there yet?????
