Comparison Of Berlingo Models
#1
Is there a comparison of specs of 2008-onward Berlingo's on here anywhere? I'm buying second-hand and want to compare XTR / VTR, power levels, trim levels and standard equipment. To make it simpler I'm only interested in 5-seater, diesel engine, manual transmission cars and want one with air conditioning.

Quite a lot of Berlingos are sold as motability cars and so any extra options would have to be paid for by the motability person and so most of them don't bother with the extra expense

It can be very rare to find a second hand Berlingo with all the factory options

A good starting point is the XTR as that came with more of the options as standard over the VTR etc, such as air conditioning

However over time, some option have become standard equipment

Here are some of the brochures so that you can see the differing options through time, the last one being the current brochure
May 2008
June 2009
January 2011
May 2013
September 2014
July 2015

If you are looking at older than last yr then only XTR had aircon as standard. on other models it was an option so they may or may not have it. Latest mid range model Berlingo Feel has aircon as standard as well as XTR. Also look out for Hdi 90 Plus special edition which was a mid range with extras including aircon. I think this was available for a couple of yrs up to last yr.

The colour schemes of the early MkIII XTR were a bit weird in my eye but they had all the toys which is why I chose a more normal looking VTR but with the extras that I wanted.

Hi Matt - I bought a s/h Plus with a 61 plate, and it has air con and alloy wheels but not the extra toys the XTR has (e.g. it has no sat nav and only has a radio and CD slot)...which is ideal for me.

Ended up buying a 10-plate XTR 110ps, pick it up on Tuesday. Seems to have the key features I wanted, Diesel, Manual, A/C, and I'll fit an after-market sat-nav.
