Immobilizer won't start the car
#11
I cleared the error codes and the camshaft and airflow error didnt come back. I think that it might have been written whild my father was trying to fix it by unplugging some wires earlier this year.

But the error code that is now displayed, says: "Permanent Error Receiver ECU"
It says "Einspritzsteuergerät" , but I think that thats the ECU,right?

We bought the Lexia Kit from easydiagnostics from scotland, in the programm there is a part for debugging. My father wants to see now if the wires are all correctly connected have the correct resistance and what ever the programm says.

Is there maybe another thing that we should take a look at which could be broken except for the ECU itself and the wiring?
I mean could it be that something else is broken but the error code for the ECU is displayed?

Can you still start the van with brake cleaner?

It's been a little while now. We had a lot of things coming around this summer including a bigger wasp nest in the garage of the car.

So I was starting the car yesterday. It was a little rough start since I had to start it a couple of times, but I think thats more because of the old diesel and/or condenser water. I got it running after the fourth try. So yes I can still start the car with brake cleaner.

Since we dont have the time in the near future to repair the car and couldn't really locate the error. The car is going "for sale" more likely to be towed to the next scrapyard. I really liked that car Sad

Anyway thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. Maybe just maybe I'll get one berlingo one I finish university. But who knows. Wink
