Data-logging software
#1
Is there any software I can put on my laptop for data-logging in order to fault-find on a 56 plate 2.0 HDi with Siemens ecu?

Give this thread a read. http://www.berlingoforum.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=112

There is software called Lexia that will (i think) read your ecu, but you need a cable (possibly among other things).

Andy-womble has been looking for a code reader, so im sure he will post here if he has any results!

Sure will.

To keep you all up to speed, a former work colleague has several hand-held code readers at his disposal and we tried them out on my 2.0 HDI 54 plated Berlingo Multispace. the only one in his armoury that would read my motor was this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...K:MEWAX:IT

I do intend to buy one eventually but cashflow problems seem to be pushing this further and further onto the back-burner. One day I will have the cash to splash out!!!!

What capabilities did it have? Just fault code reading/diagnostic? Or were you able to get into the ECU settings?

The reason im interested too is because when we paid for an auto elec to come and look at ours, he just had Lexia 3 running and hooked that upto the van from the drivers side near the fuse box. Surely buying that cable and getting hold of the software would also be a (better?) solution.

Hello Andre,
The device my mate used was a hand held stand-alone unit which read active and live time data and gave an actual fault code definition. Also able to reset MIL light

BUT unable to access the ECU settings
