Wiper motors
#1
Got into my frozen Blingo this evening and started her up first time, no probs. Heard this knocking noise. Realised too late it was my wiper motors struggling valiantly to move my wipers which were welded to the windscreen. After de-icing everything wipers no longer move. I'm guessing the motors are burnt out and will need replacing? Rolleyes

Thanks for those replies. I just checked and I'm still getting a noise when I turn the wipers on, so maybe not the fuse. I can't look until tomorrow anyway. I'm fairly sure I'll be back Smile

Thanks again

SOLVED! Good news, it turned out to be a nut that came off when the wipers were resisiting. I was lucky really, it must have been very loose because it came off without stripping any thread.

Thanks again for all advice. Great forum  Smile

Good advice. In my case it wasn't frosty when I parked up it was wet, but I'll bear that in mind Smile
