[Engine] Not starting

Hi all I have a 52 plate 20ltr HDI 800 Van changed battery done BSI procedure (started ok then switched off for twenty minutes) and I came to start up again I have no dash lights nothing won't even turn over so done BSI again and still nothing. (pulling my hair out)

battery tight and also recharged but when reconnected the windscreen washer motor kept spraying water but stopped now

Check the main earths to the chassis & gearbox that come from the battery neg terminal. Check the main fuses (large ones) that are in the engine bay fuse box.
Do you have a test meter? :thumbsup:

I will check earths & fuses, and I do have a test meter.

hi checked earths and main fuses all ok /I have main live to bottom fuse box under steering wheel but still no ignition lights on dash.
and still pulling my hair out?

If you can P/Mail me your Vin No. I'll dig out the correct drawings.
Check the battery voltage. Also check all fuses in engine bay box and also the ones under the steering wheel. Do this with the battery disconnected.
Do any of your lights work? Confusedcratch:

Merely changing the battery should not cause this. I
would suspect the new battery.....Why was the battery changed?
The Older I get the Better I Was!  Cool

Have you got the battery terminals connected the right way round? :whistle:
