Think my head is cracked to badly to fix on my 1.9d y Reg 2001. I believe the engine is an xud9? I've found another head on fleabay for a dw8 engine, being that the gasket for these two heads are identical, could I use a dw8 head on my engine?

But can you use either? When I gave my full Reg to parts ppl on eBay they said it is xud9, I wouldn't have a clue which one is which lol

Hi, if the 6th,7th and 8th character of your Vin No. is "W,J,Y" then your engine is a "DW8 B".
XUD9 engines are "9,B,E".
If it's "W,J,Z" then it's a "DW8".
