[Engine] Timing belt - and accessory belt - questions

Hi all

My '06 1.6HDI is nearing its 10th birthday so I'm planning a timing belt change.

I already ordered a set of locking pins to make life easier, but I don't know which timing belt I should order. There seem to be 2 belts, 1 with 137 teeth and one with 141. 

- If I'm not mistaken, my engine code is DV6BTED4, correct?
- If that's the case, it looks like I need the 137 teeth one?
- Should I go for Contitech, Gates, Dayco, SKF,...?
- Any jobs I could do as well when I'm down there, accessory belt? Tensioner + the other roller and waterpump obviously.
- Could any specials tools come in handy beside from the locking pins?

Why not order both and send the wrong one back?

Buy a kit of parts - belt, tensioner, idle rollers, water pump and also replace the auxiliary belt at the same time.

Gates are good - look here for catalogue and product info https://www.gatesautocat.com/ when there input the data relevent to your vehicle and double check the product you need

Nothing wrong with the other makes either, all are good.

edit : I used this kit eBay 201509063166 after checking the details against the Gates catalogue, I also double checked via registration with the seller who I may add is extremely helpful !
another edit : the above comes with instructions and are spot on too.

Thanks guys, I will check it out!
EDIT: Ordered it straight away, a real bargain!

Regarding the accessory belt, will it be fine to just replace the belt, or am I better of replacing the rollers etc also?

You should change you belt , could be ten years old and had a few turns round the engine, . I would change the rollers/ tensioners and idlers too as they will be ten years old and done at least a few million turns. Its easier to do these when your doing the timing belt.

Personally I would use a Dayco, as this is usually oe, tbh there are no bad timing belt kits, so it makes little difference.
I would go for a genuine water pump as the aftermarket ones are poor quality.
SKF timing belt kit have everything genuine in them & they do a lot with the water pump in as well.
One tip whilst doing the job is DO NOT , turn the engine anti clockwise if you miss the timing marks, not even a tiny bit, as the chain can jump & you will nigh on wreck the engine. I know as I have done it!
