    Just been to Europe in mine.....3 weeks...3000 miles...9 countries and this picture was taken up at Mattmarksee in Switzerland

I've just done the same...almost.
3 of us in my 2001 Blingo, 3 mountain bikes, 3 weeks, and several european bikeparks but a mere 4 countries.... :-)

I built a false floor in the back to shove camping stuff under, removed the double back seat and built a bulkhead where it was to keep the bikes in the back and the soft stuff where the double seat was. Great trip...

Note the handy pull out table. Invaluable for slicing cheese to go in ones baguette...

hey kayak, was in deux alps the other week on the glacier skiing, do you have any pictures of the back of your van without the stuff? im building a bulk head but with the back seats still in so i can fill up the back, but also still being able to carry 4 people. both trips sound great cant wait for mine!!

Annoyingly, I thought I had but cant seem to find them...

As I said I took out the double seat, built a false floor which was the height of the wheel arches with a pair of central supports. It went from the very back and stopped in line with the remaining single rear seat. The front of the central supports was cut at a sloping angle to match the seat. I then cut in a piece of plywood which sat at an angle, the same as the seat, screwed to the central supports, then held on the right where the seat normally clips onto when upright.

On the seat side I used a strip of ply with two holes in it that I then passed the headrest through, joined another piece at right-angles which went to the floor. This then gave me a means of supporting that side of the bulkhead.

I also fitted an armrest next to the single seat made from plywood with a foam upholstered pad. I used the screw holes from taking the seat out to attach it to the floor then screwed the bulkhead to it from behind.

It was all pretty solid after...

yeah thats sounds great, i wanted to do something similar but needing 4 seats it didnt seem worth pulling out the single and doing all that. i can still drop both seats with the bulk head i have been building so still plenty of room when needed.
