Excessive brake pedal travel
#1
Is it normal for Berlingo's to have about 2 inches of brake travel before they bite? Coming from a VW Caddy, which had fantastic brakes (otherwise it was absolute trash), to this, is quite shocking. I was doing 70 on the m/way yesterday and had to brake suddenly - that fraction of a second before the brakes bit makes ALL the difference. This is a brand new van. Further to a previous post, it still steers to the left too, though letting a bit of air out of the offside front tyre has cancelled the effect out a bit. Citroen just don't want to know. They won't even honour their promise to reimburse the cost of tracking. Anyway, if I can get some feedback on the brakes that would be great. Cheers.

Have you checked the brake fluid?
I've only driven a Caddy once and was a few years ago so I can't remember how it braked compared to the Berlingo.
Regarding Citroen, their customer service is appalling many people especially taxi drivers won't buy another because of this.
