I'd not waste your money on a new one to be honest. Remove the old one. Leave it without. Did this on a few Xantia and ZX diesels. It only increases idle speed and they're more trouble than they're worth.

I'm amazed that their are a number of non-oem replacements for these and some are less than a tenner. I was going to get one in stock and replace it next time I drop the coolant - I like a few simple jobs to do and gain some instantaneous gratification, it alleviates the PITA jobs.
