K&N
#1
Anyone know the part number for the correct K&N air filter for my 03 1.9 diesel Berlingo van. K&N site says it is a round one as did the company I bought one from but on attempted fitting found my van has a rectangular/square ish filter!

& if you read my post my friend you will note that that one is the one I've purchased which is in fact the WRONG one.
But thanks anyway, I made a call to K&M & they have advised on the correct one.

Ah!! That's why I typed "It says here" Big Grin
Manufacturer's site are frequently in accurate and although they
make the stuff the guy who actually uploads the info to the site
often doesn't know and that's where mistakes are born.
Of course they can't keep up with car manufacturers modifications
which seem to change from month to month!

k+n`s are expensive for little performance . i just took the pipe off the airbox and stuck a pair of tights over it . does the same thing and sounds the same

Now all over the UK, Berlingo owners Wifes/Girlfriends/Grans/Tranvestites mates tights are all going missing, 'Now where did I put them tights??'. Seriously, there is a big difference between a K+N filter and a pair of tights, (especially fishnets:fish:!!) A K+N or simalar is soaked in a sticky type of oil which it uses as a medium to 'catch' the fine dust particles passing through, tights will not. A K+N will last the lifetime of the vehicle as it is cleaned, a standard filter needs replacing, which actually makes the standard filter the most expensive option. power gains are mainly in your head but expect 2-5hp:thumbsup:.
