Fitting New CD Player
#1
I´m planning to fit the CD player I took out of my last car to the Berlingo. Is there anything to be careful of, or is it simply unplug old one & plug in new one?

I needed an adaptor to go between the Sony unit and the vehicle wiring - bought from Halfords, can't remember how much. Other than that it was straightforward, although the steering column remote doesn';t work with it, but not a problem

Hmmm................ nothing is ever straightforward for me!

I´ve found I need to swap a couple of live wires around on the plug so it works properly - no real problem.

But my clock freezes at whatever time it is when I switch the ignition on and stays that way until the next time I switch the ignition off then on again, at which point it changes to the current time and freezes again.

Any ideas???

1. Unplug the battery and plug it back in , stopped this problem for me

Or as grimsqueeker said

2. Take it to citroen to get the bsi to know the original stereo isn't there (this is the proper way and he said option 1 can eventually damage the bsi)

If you read some of the older threads on audio in the interior customisation then you can see what else has been mentioned on this topic

i wire the switched live to the electric windows so it goes on and off on the key

and wired the permanent live to the battery to stop the freezing and losing stations

I have fitted new Kenwood head unit tonight. Took 20 minutes.
But mine loses saved stations.
Which wire will have to go straight to battery?
