Fixed cost repairs at main dealers
#1
On my visit to Citroen Manchester (South) today, managed to jot down these prices from a poster in service reception. Don't know how up to date but here you are:-

All prices are remove and replace, labour inclusive, any Citroen vehicle:-

Wiper Blades £29.00
Disc Pads Front or Rear £95.00
Front Pads and Discs £225.00
Rear Pads and Discs £275.00
Timing Belt £295.00
Clutch from £499.00

I have no connections with Citroen Manchester other than being a satisfied customer of theirs and the prices are reproduced for interest only...

Hi Andy,wipers & pads & discs seem expensive.I get Bosch wipers@ £12 pr,Bosch pads @ £22.
That makes the labour about £50-60 per hour.I can't quote disc prices, but I would imagine about£50 for Brembo vented.
If you can afford dealer prices, that's fine, but I do all my brakes etc myself & only give the basic servicing to the local independent at MOT time.

So do I Ron, just thought I would take the opportunity to jot down the prices whilst I made my annual visit to Manchester for my FREE (Yes you read it right) MOT..... As I have heart trouble, I only do small repairs and servicing these days and no longer able to maul my conkers off as in the good old days. I do a lot more research before I part with my coin thesedays...

Today, as in previous visits, the service receptionist tried to sell me an expensive service plan but I politely declined the offer....

How do Andy ! If that's the price for " lifetime " wiper blades then that's good value 'cos they only need changing every 2 years Confusedcratch: Confusedillyme:

That's 1/2 Citroen prices & independents tend to be more thorough with the fiddly bits.

I will be replacing my front discs and pads soon, original front pads and disks worn out at 40k.

As far as I can tell these were the originals, no mention of them having been changed before and now on 165,000. In any event this was the first change since 70,000 when I took ownership
