GUTSY BERLINGO !!
#1
I have a 62 plate Berlingo van 1.6 75 enterprise

I travel from perth to glasgow every day for work.
(60 miles down 60 miles up)

I fill up £70 on monday and it lasts until wed/thurs so just shy of 400 miles on a tank.

Is that correct or is it F****d again?!
(already had a new clutch and mass air flow meter.)

The figures he quotes work out at about 40mpg, based on diesel being at £1.40 a litre. That is similar figures to what I get when fully laden, or empty if my right foot gets a bit heavy.

I sit at around 65/70 mph. Van is always empty.

MPG on screen is around 40 mpg, i thought/hoped it would have been more as it is only a 1.6 and couldnt pull me out of bed.

At a constant 70mph my Berlingo used to do around 42mpg so its not that far out. Remember its shaped like a brick!
I DO MISS MY BERLINGO Heart

I'd get it tuned by someone like Quantum. They can increase the low end torque significantly
and give you a better performance curve. Mine will comfortably sit at 30 mph in top.
On a run greater than 100 miles, cruising at 60-65 mph I see high 50s/low60s mpg.
Mine is a Mk.2....92bhp 1.6HDi
The Older I get the Better I Was!  Cool

I do a lot of journeys of 40mph and under and my 110hp XTR averages at about 49mpg

On a long run it does up to 55mpg, just as long as there aren't too many hills

I used to do a lot of motorway miles (at 70mph+) Consumption was down around 40mpg.

I now infrequently do motorway trips and find cruising around 60 on A roads gives 50mpg+.

Hilly, windy country roads aren't too great either.
