[HOW TO] Change bulbs on Multi-function Display Unit
#1
The illumination on my Multi-function Display Unit went dull so this is how i replaced the bulbs which by the end the results are clear to how much more lit up the Display Unit is by the end of this process

This took me 5 to 10 minutes

At the end of changing the bulbs you will need to set the clock and date

Tools needed:

Torx T20 to remove the Display Unit
Your fingers to carefully prise off the multi-function display surround from the facia (Unless you know another way)

Step 1:

Citroen (well PSA) dash bulbs seem to be very weak and prone to failure.
Each Citroen I have had to do dash bulbs on I have replaced with LED units for longer life.

Thanks for the very useful guide, especially as this is on my "to do" list. Are LEDs available (if these are a better bet) as a straight swap?

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

Thanks for that it's great to see it being done, 1 question as I'm a little this thick are they special bulbs or can they be bought at any car shop?

You should be able to pick them up at any car shop. From memory, they are similar to these LINK. But you could always just take one into your local motor shop and they should be able to match them. No need to be paying more than 60-80p.
