[HOW TO] Door and Dash Speakers
#31

tweeters to the system Sad where to start ?

The 'connector' you see in the photo does not seem to connect to anything. It is not used by my dash speakers which are factory fitted. I hope my photo explains it better. As it is fitted by Citroen the parts must be available from Citroen, BUT i bet its an expensive way of doing it.

Great info, thanks, I've ordered the wires and I'm looking forward to better quality speakers in the doors, I've found that there are tweeters in the dash which work already in mine, so best to check before you buy!

Any idea how deep the recesses are in the door pannels?
Thanks

The capacitor trick is merely replicating what you get inside a passive crossover which comes with a set of component speakers.

It cuts out the lower frequencies which would over stress a tweeter, allowing it to play the cleaner higher frequencies only.

Hi, having a few problems with figuring out my speaker polarity, I was putting some aftermarket speakers in the rear of my multispace and took apart the clip to free the wires, I didn't know you could get the aforementioned adapters, anyway...

Now I want to rebuild the factory plugs and use some adapters instead and I don't know which way round the two wires go... can anyone help?! Confusedcratch:

Does anyone know where I could get that tweeter adapter lead pictured in the first post? Can only seen to find the regular speaker one. If not is it possible to just cut off the old connector and attach the new tweeters?

Thanks,

Dave.
