Headlights 'halo' in windscreen
#1
I haven't driven my 64 reg Berlingo much in the dark but have just done a long overnight trip. I noticed that when headlights were approaching they seemed to form a halo, in the colours of the rainbow, in my windscreen. It wasn't just me! My wife confirmed she could see the same thing. I've never had this before with my previous Berlingos. Any ideas anyone?

Windolene?!

I can't say I've noticed it in my 64-reg. Mine's a multispace, with the thermal coated screen - it looks silvery-blue from outside when it catches the sun. Perhaps this is what's causing your trippy visions, if you have this screen.

I don't get out after dark much though.

Give it a good clean with Meths,it's probably got some sort of contaminant on it.

Do you need to be careful if it is the athermic one with solvents? My user manual has a picture of a sponge crossed out, so apparently even that's dangerous to it - god knows how they think you're going to clean it.

I'd wonder what you or the previous owner have been smoking tezzerh - not meaning waccy baccy, but perhaps ciggies have left a layer of smoke deposit on the inside.
