Heater positions...

The Dial for some reason is stuck and very difficult/dodgy to move without breaking it, What is this likely to be? and how do I remove the facia? do I need to take the stereo out? if I do will I need a code?

Cheers guys

My first guess would be the control's linkage is seized. There are five pages of tutorials here and I seem to remember one dealing with the removal
of the facia. You don't say which Berlingo you have though.

Have a look at these pictures http://www.berlingoforum.co.uk/attachment.php?aid=603
I think you have to start at the top centre display cover and work your way down until the facia comes off and the radio is out then the heater panel can be got at.
Are we there yet????? Huh

Thanks tomcat3! I thought this was the case. Will I need a radio code if I take the radio out? If so ill try work around it instead of disconnecting it

If its a factory fit radio its coded to the car so you can unplug it and plug it back in no problem.

Hi, I have just bought a 2003 with a few gremlins, I bought a haynes manual of ebay and found it very use to get the heater control out, it is quite simple, dont be afraid of the plastic breaking you ned to be quite tough with it. one tip is to take the top off where the clock is, then the small plate that covers the switches, to do this use a pallet knife or scraper and do it from the bottom edge first, a bit fiddly, but once these are off you can get to the fascia screws, also radio keys are essential, again 2 quid ebay job.

Hope this helps
