Hi Franke, I would say the best course of action would be a full four wheel optical alignment check. If it is done correcetly all possibilities will be checked before any type of adjustment is made. Because the adjustment to wheel alignment is usually a couple of degrees or mm's even a worn ball joint can throw the whole readings miles out so its vital that the technician checks everything possible.
When I was trained to do these we even used to jack all four wheels up on the ramp, attach the gauges and spin the wheels to see if they were true because like I say even a couple of mm's is critical.
One point I will make is that wheel alignment is quick pure profit to a garage so to ensure the job is done right I would go to a reputable well known garage and stress that this is a problem that you want to get to the bottom of.
