Hello all

Hello, have just acquired a 51 plate Multispace Forte with 1.9D engine.
It has 100k on the clock and full service history from Citroen dealer. I cannot find any reference to the cambelt having been changed. Is this really necessary and could someone say how much this would cost please?
Am delighted with it, so spacious and comfortable compared to my wife's Golf mark 6. and the 14 year old border Collie finds it easy to get onboard.

Welcome to the forum and yes it is VITAL that the cambelt is changed at recommended intervals, many would say before that even.
Cost I am not sure, I have seen £700 mentioned in previous posts but it is possible to get it done much cheaper.

Thankyou. Booked it in for Thursday. Including water pump etc. it's £425 all in. At least should provide peace of mind.

If it has a full service history from a Citroen workshop then cambelt should have been changed at 8years or 80k miles miles whichever comes first. It should show cambelt change on 8th service receipt.

Thankyou for that information. I'll ring their service department on Monday and see if they have any record of it. There is no entry on the 8th service page or anywhere else.

Phoned the service department today. Hooray, they fitted a cambelt and water pump in July 2013. That has saved me plenty.
