Hi my berlingo 1.6 hdi 75 has had a fault come up twice with a turbo overboost code ,could someone please give me some idea where to start to look for the fault.
Also today the brake light symbol on the dash comes on and off and also stop also shows ,I thought it could be low brake pads but there are no wear sensors,so any help pn this would be great. many thanks . craig

brake and stop lights will almost certainly be the fluid res,it's a notorious fault,it's so slim, take the cap off and dribble as much as you can in,the other problems out of my league sorry...

Have a look on the turbo, and you should see a rod from a vaccume cylinder to a crank arm on the exhaust housing. Check the arm can be moved and isn't seized. It's quite stiif as you have to overcome a spring.

If you get some one to rev the engine up and down well your looking under the bonnet at just below the turbo you will see a little rod it should move up and down with the rev's
