Juddering along in 5th gear.
#1
Hi,
I have noticed that I have to change into 4th if My speed drops to about 45 - 50 mph. I find it starts to judder if I dont. Is this a common thing with the 2.0 l HDI ?
Cheers,
Mike.

Mine does this from time to time, as does a mate's C5. An ECU-related fuelling issue has been suggested, but a decent 'Italian tune-up' seems to sort it... ;-)

It's common! the final gearing in lingos is very long . its all to create better torque lower in gears for lots if weight and towing ect . That's why cars with the same enging eg pug 206 ect are faster top end like 110mph were a lingos struggle above 90.

Hi,
Thanks for the replys. It seems as though its just down to the gearing, Just using fourth gear more than I'm used to but not to worry.
Mike.
