Led Interior light strip
#1
Hi all i come across some white led strips in shed other day so decided to fit them in car on the shelf above driver. They light up the whole of the car now when turned on and makes it easier to see when rummaging around in the dark. the pictures below shows two strips, one above passenger and one above driver and a little switch i put in to operate them.

They might not be everyones cup of tea but are ideal for my needs.

Nice idea, smart. I wonder if it would be possible to fit some down the inside edge of the doors, coloured red as a door open warning for anyone coming past from behind.

I should think that would be possible as there is electrical feeds inside the door, you could fit a couple of marker lights like they have on caravans and lorries etc.

It's a nice, relatively simple and cheap mod, we had strips in the footwells of our Berlingo that were piggybacked off the interior light, looked the part.

Hi Andre i actually thought about using them in footwells but they ended up where they are as my main aim was to have better all round lighting as eventually i am going to adapt the lingo into a camper by making something similar to the amdro camper.

I actually fancy some red led strips fitted in footwells , i know it sounds and looks a bit chavvy but oh well its a bit different to see a car/van with little mods like that

So what have you wired them into? The interior light or a permanent live feed? Looking to do something similar (for the same reason).

they are wired onto the map light wiring. It is a permanent live only when ignition is on, the positive feed runs through to the switch then from the switch to the lights. The map light feed is on the ignition so power cuts off when turned off
