It's just the plate that the rubber bonnet striker rests on.

Not the plastic "turret" type bits where the rubber on the bonnet rest. I meant the bit attached to the side of the nearside one, circled in red.
There are two fixing holes in the bonnet where it meets this part, with nothing attached. Just wondered what it was for??

Mine has always been broken off and the molding seems part of a much larger piece, so just wondering! Some kind of bonnet alarm extra??

I'm guessing it's a sensor to detect an open bonnet, for while I do not know, under bonnet lighting? or alarm maybe?

Mine broke off yrs ago & I cleaned up the break with a file. Maybe its to lift the moulding during production?

It is for the sensor alarm. Not availeble in belgium no idea in england.
