Load capacity of XTR 1.6 HDi >HELP<
#1
Does anyone know?
I 'm planning to go down Wickes to get some bags of stones to make a sub base for a patio.
think i need about 17bags @25kg per bag so about 425kg
Does anyone know the load capacity of a 09 Berlingo (not a van).
I was going to take the back seats out first.

Thanks

Cheaper to get a maxi bag delivered by a proper builders merchant.
MkIII VTR 1.6hdi Modutop, Climate Pack, 16" Alloys

I think the capacity should be on the plate inside the driver's door, but I think it's about 500kg-ish minus the driver's weight.

Put lots of air in the tyres too, according to the plate too - the max pressure stated, which will be lots more than most people drive round with.

Delivery costs are the main killer for a one-off maxi bag. It's cheaper if you're getting a few, but a one-off can be steep.

Oh, and line the carpet, as sand's a bugger to hoover out. I'm guessing you're talking about ballast if it's for concrete.

That's great - thanks for your help / yep a maxi bag would be cheaper, if I needed that much.
Thanks again

I had a look at mine last night, and there are various weights on a sticker there but you might need the manual to see what's what - it's just a bunch of weights with no explanation given.

It includes braked and unbraked trailers, maximum laden weight and unladen weight. I think you need to subtract one from the other to get the carrying capacity, after working out which is which according to the manual.

Had a look too, yep numbers about pressures and bars?
I think I'll pump up the tyres and not over do it.
Thanks again

The carrying capacity is on a separate sticker below the tyre pressure one.
