you thought about a little cabin heater for it? rather than the start the car method

I'd thought of it, I've ruled out a gas heater for the problems with storage, humidity and likelihood of dying due to fumes!
There's electrical ones, but they seem quite thirsty on your battery, and also largely useless.
Are there better options out there?
Webasto diesel heater, not cheap though!

awesome, and yes a diesel cab heater is what I meant like in lorries

So my idea of putting a Camping Gaz stove in the passenger footwell would may be not
such a good notion. Hmmm.... I'll have to have a rethink. It is nice to be able to make a pot of tea
while on the M6!!! :lol:
