(This post was last modified: 04-05-2014, 03:53 PM by inzor.)
nothing much has been happening with the van, hasnt been washed in about a year now so will have to give it a good wash, clay and wax at some point in the next few weeks.
the van developed a sort of cough over the last few weeks, only happens once or twice a day and it's subtle. changed the fuel filter today so will see if that fixes it.
one other thing that has always bugged me. the coolant temp does get upto 90 but then drops down below 90, between 80 and 85 i think. should i change the temp sensor and thermostat? or is this normal for the berlingo?

This temp range is normal for your lingo... Only worry if it goes up well above 100, or stays low at 70.

attempting to clean out the intake manifold today. other than the 4 allen bolts holding it to the engine, what else needs to come off and how do you remove the intake and egr pipe from the front of it?
also, im guessing that when i follow the metal egr pipe round to the back of the engine, where it meets the exhaust manifold is were i would put a blanking plate?
thanks.

might be a bit late! But.....
As well as the 4 allen bolts holding the manifold on....
Battery positive needs disconnecting,
Glow plug connection nut on the nearside of the manifold needs disconnecting.
Two vacuum lines under the egr flap need removing
A small electrical connector to the egr flap needs removing too, can be a PITA so be patient and gentle!
Then you can pull the manifold away from the metal intake.
