Mk3 Berlingo 1.6hdi. Alloy wheels added.
#1
Well after a 200 mile round trip to pick up my wheels from John who as turns out was/is a member here I'm now a proud owner of 4 17" alloy wheels.
I couldn't have got a better bargain and it's thanks to john that I'm beginning to like my car.

They look just fine. What is the offset of the wheels? Need spacers?? Tyre size?? Thanks Forgot to add, are they a direct fit?

Direct fit well with alloy wheel bolts that were supplied with them, Tyre size is 215/50/17 which is same width as was on there and no spacers.

Not sure of the offset sorry but they look great.

Well having had these wheels on for 6 weeks or so I'm finding out the ride is slightly firmer, Corners better but more road noise but this is due to the tyres being Kenda's.
Fuel consumption has dropped 1 mpg on the trip computer and thats been pretty consecutive over the past 6 months as it always showed 44.9 before the 17's and that has now dropped to being 43.8 for the 6 weeks or so.

Tyre wear is good, All seem to be wearing evenly and no inside or outside wear either.

Overall I like the look of the wheels as it hugely improved the look of the car and hasn't really impacted on Mpg.

If it was 44.9 and is now 43.8 doesn't that mean the fuel consumption has increased ? Big Grin (pedantic, what's that mean ?)
So where does this bit go then ?

You only qualify as pedantic if you've worked out the consumption change as 2.36% earlier in the day, and still remember it.

I noticed my mpg dropped about 2 mpg when I fitted the 18s, could be down to tyres as they have different energy ratings A-E
