New and keen to get going
#1
Hi All
really pleased to have just joined the Berlingo family. Proud owner of an 04 forte 2.0hdi.
Got it home and first night outside house someone threw up on it . . . i guess they are not everyone's taste.
Hoping to change the oil/filter and gearbox oil.
I am expecting the oil/filter to go ok but not sure where to start with the gearbox.
I am assuming that this would be a good idea but would like to avoid garage prices where poss.
Any other suggestions for easy preventative work? Cambelt? it's done 93k and no record of a cambelt change yet
Thanks
Ciaran

I'd be changing the Cambelt at that age mileage if it were mine.

Not great with motors (as you may have gathered) so may save that part for a garage.

Thanks

As Steve says I would definitely get the cam belt changed sooner rather than later at that age and mileage.

Define reasonable Smile The Citroen web site shows a fixed price of £295

I would think a local to you garage would do it cheaper?

Thanks Trevor
My partner has found a good mechanic for her car so may see what he comes back with.
