Hi to all the berlingo forum users, in my eagerness to find some info I forgot to introduce myself, My name is Mick and have just purchased a 1999 berlingo multi 3 door wheelchair converted car. Tucker has just replied to my problem and hopefully I may be able to get it sorted with his help.

I'm still reading the handbook.

Hi and thanks, it's only done 2,000 miles in the last 4 years, total now 70.000, I am the third owner, one small dent and no visible body rust, need to change oil and cambelt although it was done at 58,000, just about to fit new heater motor speed resistor which came in the post today, found some taped burnt wires under cig lighter as it doesnt work so need to remove center consul to investigate, have a knock under driver side floor hope its just a drop link.
Cheers Mick

I meant vintage in the same way you'd speak about good wines... ;-)

3 door?
Was the sliding side door optional that year?
(It is just so practical. So easy for passengers to get out or in, even in narrow parking spaces.)

Hi yeh , its was a 3 door ordered from the factory then sent to brotherwoods the wheelchair car conversion people, , it has two small seats behind the driver and passenger, it has a fold down ramp at the back to enable the wheelchair to be pushed in, bought so we can transport our bikes.
Like the one in the link below.

Must be some heavy bikes, then...

When my Chinese scooter fails(happened a couple of times), I just lift it up and into the back of my Berlingo.
As long as I remember to remove the mirrors and the little luggage box at the rear end, it fits perfectly.
It's only 85Kg or so, after all.

Ramp? Who needs 'em? ;-)
(Me, probably... I'm a mess after lifting that soddy thing. Could build something, but I doubt the scooter will survive till next season.)

Yeh I know wot u mean I been fed up lifting them, the push bikes into the back of our old ford escort estate for a couple of years now so this will make it nice an easy, providing I can sort the electrics out.
