Ok, call me stupid but where is the oil pump on 1.6HDi engines?
What sort of job is it? 4.5 hours according to the worksheet.
Thanks

You have to remove the timing set, the oil pump is driven by a crank keyway and forms the lower part of what many old fogeys would call the "timing chest". The strainer is an angled casting and requires removal of the sump to undo it (which must be done before removal of the oil pump).
Plus, if you have a DPF you need to get all that rubbish out the way before removal of the sump...

Aahh. Had a look and it looks like the sump has been off as there's excess selant oozing out. Slightly over filled the oil on the refill. Thanks for the replies. I just found some pictures of one and it all adds up now.
