Oil and air filter change on 09 berlingo 1.6 hdi
Hiya all, just done a oil and filter change on 09 berlingo 1.6 hdi. Oil and oil filter change piece of cake.
Air filter now that was something else, stripped down all air filter pipes and maf easy. Then tried getting air filter out after reading a tutorial to double check no way was this coming out of the that little gap took battery and brake master cylinder off still no joy, then decided to try take out the 3 screws holding top of air filter to the base. Managed to get them all out fiddlely job, top came off easy put new filter in and refitted what a relief. Well it's done now and I will know next time. Now got to do other car Citroen c5 tomorrow had a look under bonnet  and its gonna be a easy job compared to  berlingo.
The air filter does come out easily without removing the battery. As you have found out, you need to remove the housing top not the whole lot. There are guides somewhere on here
