Opinions on this beauty please...

I'm a little worried about mileage and age but most of the miles are motorway miles.

I want to by her, am doing the right thing? Is she a good example?

Seems a very tidy example (from the pics).
Mileage is not excessive for 8 or 9 years old.
Try them at £1750....

Get a good test drive,
Look at the back to see if the rear wheels are excessivly slanted inwards
old vs new
Go over some bumps and listen to any suspenson noise -(shouldnt be any)
Feel for play in the controls

Otherwise looks nice example of a good model
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Ok brilliant thanks!!

The only thing I did notice was one of the sliding doors doesn't lock into position when open. Hubby had a look and the hook at the bottom of the door looks like it's slightly out of position.

It works when pushing the button on the inside of the door. Is this an easy fix?? I don't mind a little work, I really don't want to buy a duff berlingo.

Looks like a tidy example, I wouldn't necessarily let the mileage put you off, I'd be more concerned with the actual condition of the vehicle. Check if it has service history including a cambelt change.
I recently bought a 53' plate Forte 2.0hdi for around the same price as that one, just over 100k miles but no receipt for a cambelt change, so I used this as a bargaining tool with the seller. I ended up paying the asking price but they changed the cambelt and put on 6months tax before sale, so I was happy with that.

Don't be scared to be a bit cheeky and offer them a lower price etc they can only say "no" :-)

Not shutting fully is a bigger problem-I wouldnt worry too much about it not holding open
It is on my to do list.

Thanks for all your help. I'm now the proud owner of a berlingo!

Poor dealer didn't know what had hit him! I checked everything twice. Had a test drives, all seems well, there were no noises or anything unusual.

There were a few problems... wheels need balancing, needs a service, key fob not locking (locks fine using the key), middle seatbelt appears stuck and dealer had now idea about cambelt change.

All of the above he has agreed to sort for the price of the car. If he can't fine a receipt for the cambelt change the dealer will put a new cambelt on! :woop:

Was just about to suggest checking the cambelt history, but you've got that base covered already.

Great news, good luck with it!
