Wondering about this one.
If you are using a phone program like Google Navigator, or Navigon, while bluetooth connected to your car stereo (eg, a Parrot system), do the spoken directions come through the car speakers? Or does the audio only hook in when you make or receive a phone call?

As my GPS went up in smoke recently, I've used my phone for a couple of trips, as a stopgap. I used a standalone portable bluetooth speaker, rather than something plugged into the car stereo, but in my case, it picked up everything - phone calls, Navigator, even the MP3 player. In fact, it was quite intelligent when playing MP3s, as it paused them whenever it had directions to give.

That's good info - thanks. I'm tempted to flick the GPS altogether as it (a Garmin) seems less responsive and intelligent than Google's crack at the same purpose.
