Price Advice....???
#1
I'm in the market for a new or nearly new Berlingo XTR 115bhp and I've got the chance of a brand new un-registered car for £13000 on the road. It seems a really good deal to me and the dealer says he couldn't sell me a pre-registered car or ex-demo as cheaply? Just wondered if anyone agrees and how it compares to what you paid or what you'd expect to pay bearing in mind the new model (6 speed) is coming out sometime soon so I'm guessing this has a lot to do with the level of discount being offered. Cheers, Steve.

If you are not trading in, try one of the brokers like /www.drivethedeal.com to get the best price.

It sounds like a very good deal to me. If you're not bothered about the 6-speed or front parking sensors get it bought. Is it white? That is the cheapest colour, black is £300-ish and the metallics £500-ish.

Mine's a 6-speed ETG auto, with added Automatic Pack and black paint. I think the list was a fair bit over £18k, but we paid £15k. Plus they gave about £500 too much for our part-ex. Buying new is IMO well worth a small premium anyway, as you know nothing bad's happened to it.

Well I haven't ordered it yet but I'm glad I haven't! It seemed a good price until I enquired (with a different broker) about the new model 120 6 speed model and they're offering them at £11413 plus extra for metallic! It sounds to good to be true but I've double checked with them and they've checked with the supplying dealer and they've confirmed the price correct. They want a £500 deposit and are quoting 10-12 weeks delivery. How can a higher spec and new model be offered for £1500 cheaper than an outgoing one that you'd of thought they want to shift???

Cannot find a definite date but this suggests July 2015 for the van

And suggests November for the car

Who knows?

There have been many revisions - almost monthly. So "new model" may mean a newer model than the other, but not the newest.

Mine's an October 2014 one. It had the lower emissions (115 vs 120) than those about 3 months before, and also had the missing engine cover "feature". Someone who got theirs a month or two after me got a DAB radio (I didn't).

But if that's an XTR spec latest model to pre-order then get it in writing and slap your deposit down!

Are you sure that's a Multispace and not a van?! And including VAT etc?
