What broke the belt , did something seize, alternator or idler etc.?

Just wonderd if sum can help me got a 56 plate berlingo van 2.0 hdi the power steering belt snapt so I drove it home on the battery life got it home turned it off pulled it to garage next day put a new belt on and new battery but now it wunt start help

If you took the old battery off and fitted a new one you probably need to do a BSI reset, instructions on the BBA reman site.

I Dunt have a clue pal I had new belt put and starter motor and battery never started since lol
