Rear suspension
#1
I'm having problems with my rear suspension, when fully loaded the exhausrt rear box grounds over bumps. Is there an easy fix or heavier/harder spring available?
Probably caused because it's been adapted for WAV with the rear floor lowered.

Is yours a 600 or an 800?

How does your warranty work with the modification for WAV? If it is separate from car warranty then it is for installation company to sort out. A possible solution could be to fit spring assistors.

It's 3 years old and being used as a Taxi. With 4 people in it can bottom out occassionally. All I want is stronger springs or an easy fix. Peugeot say therer are no stronger springs so maybe some blocks below the bump stops that are fitted, or even an after market exhaust that is shallower?

There are stronger springs, Romahome fit them to their R25 and the new R20 and so I would have a good look round.

Looks like a simple & cheap solution here I don't know how well they work though.

I once put heavier springs in the back end of a Ford Focus ghia estate for loading purposes. It was like driving a bloody Capri when empty and the rattles and rumbles were a bit naughty. I know it's a totally different car but it certainly made the back end skitter around on bumpy roads and even more so in the wet. As I say though, more noticeable when light.

Wow, haven't seen those for a while! I fitted a pair in 1978 to a Ford Escort.... Worked fine, despite horror stories about springs breaking due to uneven loading, from a few "Doubting Thomases".

Hmm how good are the assiter's? Anyone got them currently?

These seem to be the preferred option but not cheap in comparison.

I'd like to upgrade my berlingo to 800 payload but the cost involved is slightly high, plus sourcing the parts is a nightmare.
