Remote Key fob case
#1
Anyone know where to *buy a replacement plastic Key Fob body for an 08 MK3?

*At a reasonable price*

Key and Circuit Board both okay but the bit of the plastic that holds the swivel bit of the key in the casing has broken off!

I know they do them on E-Bay, apart from that haven't seen them any where else.

Just had a gander on ebay.de and they have a lot of them. All in the € 9-10 range.

Have found a metal/alloy case on flea bay that is for a Berlingo van, it seems to be identical apart from 'lock' symbol so have taken a chance and ordered one! (at a fraction of Citroen price)

NB: Dealer has stated that case is NOT covered under warranty, only key and Circuit board are but only for first two years!!!!!!!!!!!!:S

Update on my search for a replacement Key fob, got one from TopFobs shop on ebay for just under ₤12.00 and delivered next day. (with 2 batteries included)

Almost an exact match for the original case apart from the 'lock' symbol is smaller on the new one BUT, the new one is made of a metal/alloy not plastic so should be more hard wearing.
Fitted my existing Key and Circuit Board into it with no problems!

Its unreasonable to expect warranty on discs as they are a wearing part and wear in accordance with mileage covered and driving style. Due to the non asbestos brake pads/linings used now the discs take a lot more hammering than the old days.
