[How To] Remove-Refit rear bumper on M59 (Mk2)

1. Removing
Disconnect the battery .
Remove :
The tail lights
The rear mud shields

Remove :
The screws (3) and (4) (in the wheel arch) (on each side)
The screws (1) and (5)
The bolts (2)
Release the clips (6).
Remove : The external bumper skin (7).

Remove :
The bolts (8)
The bumper absorber (9)
2. Refitting
2.1. Recovered bumper support
Proceed in the reverse order to removal.
Tighten the screws (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (8) to 0,8 m.daN .
Connect the battery.
Check all the equipment works.
2.2. New bumper support

A : Previous assembly.
B : New assembly.

ATTENTION : When replacing an old bumper, the fixings ( 11), (12) must be ordered.

Only the later parts will be available from Parts Div..
Remove the retaining clip ( 10) fixed inside the rear wing (on each side).
Fit :
The cage nut (11) on the rear wing (on each side)
The rear bumper
The (12) bolt (on each side)
Proceed in the reverse order to removal.
Check all the equipment works.

You may be better off starting a new thread with your queries/problems.

It's a shame that the pictures disappear form tutorial threads as the pictures are key to the thread.

I've came across hundreds of threads on forums over the years that are rendered useless because the pictures are missing.

I realise that the pictured are often deleted by the hosting site but is there not a way that the pictures can be made a permanent fixture to the thread, maybe by adding the picture as an attachment?

It would make tutorial threads like this one future proof.
